This page spread appeared in Freestyle BMX Magazine, at the hight of MRD team power.

What I mean is that by then we had all the gear, all the frames forks, bars and number plates and the team was being looked after and managed well, so we could just get on with the job of promoting the brand.

Looking at the frame decals, I think this is actually a BadLander prototype that was so good I just kept it and rode it. It has to be said that I never broke this frame, it was just replaced with a later model.

Check-out the freestyle hot tips;
  • Homemade hollow stem bolt
  • Homemade axle trick pegs
  • Pop rivets in the saddle
  • Top tube grip tape
  • Front brake peg, Plastic protection for the pedals to stop damaging indoor wooden floors
  • Cut-down MRD plate for extra freestyle climb arounds and white coaster brake tuffs, at the time quite special.
